"I had this back problem and sciatica problem, pain going down my right leg and of course, I went to a couple doctors and they said, "Well, you need therapy." So I went and did an 8 week session, and it still bothered me, but they said, "Well, you should do it again." So I did it again, and it felt ok for awhile, and then I had the same problems all over again, so they sent me to get an MRI. Then I went to a pain clinic and I had injections in my back. The first one lasted for a couple months then it came back so I had a second one and that lasted a shorter period of time so I went back for the third and that didn't last very long at all. So we started talking about surgery. I saw another surgeon for that. He said if you can find any way around it, don't do it because it's about a 70% chance that it's going to be ok, which is really not good odds. Then they gave me, vicodin which I don't like, then I had like a morphine patch and that made me sick. I was walking with a cane at that point. Then I saw the ad in the paper, and I figured I had nothing to lose, I've got to try something else first. So I talked to Dr. Grenillo and he took some tests of his own, had my MRI sent over here and I have degenerative discs, but I'm 74 years old so that's gonna happen. Then he called me and told me I was a candidate for this procedure and showed me everything that was involved and I felt, I have nothing to lose. The insurance didn't cover it of course, but it's still my back. It's a personal thing you know, a lot of people go get the surgery. I have friends who've had the surgery, but several are still sorry that they did it. The DRX worked just great for me, everybody here was just the best. After my first week I felt better, I didn't need my cane anymore. It's been a year now, I haven't missed a days work other than what I want to take off for vacation.
